Durif 2008

We've carefully cellared this triple-trophy winner over the past decade and are releasing the last of our bottles. It's drinking beautifully now with some cellar age.

An intense yet elegant Durif with earthy chocolate aromas and rich red berry fruit flavours. Estate-grown, handpicked and basket pressed.

The 2008 vintage won Trophies for Best Durif, Best Dry Red in Rutherglen and Best Dry Red in North East Victoria at the 2010 Rutherglen Wine Show.

Alc 13.9%.

On first release, Campbell Mattinson (Gourmet Traveller Wine) wrote:

Intense, elegant and lengthy. A lip-smackingly delicious, high-quality, regional hero of a red. It tastes of iodine, tar, roses and cedary French oak. There is nothing ungainly or overdone about this; it's a wine of pure oozing quality.
