Scion’s vision is to handcraft premium wines guided by the creative and modern interpretation of traditional Rutherglen varietals, including Durif. Formerly a graphic designer, Winemaker Rowly applies his creative thinking to his winemaking to craft dynamic wine styles. Within the world of viticulture, discovering the nuances of place and seasonality has been pivotal to this process.
Join him to explore the outer reaches of Durif in this curated wine flight featuring elegant Durifs, experimental reds and Scion’s signature fortified, After Dark. You’ll also enjoy local snacks such as olives, fresh sourdough and Provenance restaurant's beef jerky, as you take a deep dive into Durif in a private tasting room.

MUSCAT REIMAGINED
Explore the rich tradition of Rutherglen muscats alongside Scion's modern interpretation of this regional specialty.

Scion is a progressive winery with a strong sense of its heritage. Self-taught winemaker Rowly is a descendant of George Francis Morris, one of Australia's most renowned vignerons of the 19th Century. Scion's muscat grapevines were grafted with cuttings from the historic Fairfield Vineyard (first planted by Morris in the 1850s) and so the variety holds a special place in Rowly's focused range of handmade wines.
Explore the rich tradition of Rutherglen muscats alongside Rowly's modern interpretation of this regional specialty as you taste a flight of wines, from bottle-conditioned single vintage muscats to classified barrel-aged muscat. Discover the range of occasions and ways to enjoy muscat, from fresh delicate aperitifs to muscat cocktails and luscious dessert wines.
