Join us as our next Cellar Door Manager

Think you know Rutherglen? Think again!

We're a small, family-owned winery making wine styles that put a thoroughly modern spin on Rutherglen’s old-school classics.

Our Cellar Door isn’t just about pouring wine—it’s about sharing stories, making people feel at home, and creating moments our visitors will want to tell their friends about.

We’re on the lookout for a Cellar Door Manager who’s energetic, people-focused and thrives in a hands-on leadership role. Someone who gets what great hospitality feels like and knows how to bring that vibe to life, day in, day out.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Hosting engaging wine tastings

  • Leading and mentoring a small team of support staff

  • Managing rostering, training, and the running of Cellar Door

  • Building and retaining loyal customer relationships

  • Managing and reporting on DTC wine sales

  • Planning and running consumer and industry events

  • Supporting management and growth of our Wine Club

WHO YOU ARE

  • You light up around people and know how to make them feel welcome

  • You’re a natural team leader—positive, organised and calm under pressure

  • You’ve got hospitality or customer service experience (bonus points for wine knowledge, but not essential)

  • You’re comfortable with tech: POS, ecommerce, and learning new systems

  • You’re curious, creative, and have a genuine interest in wine

  • You're available Saturdays (and occasional event weekends/long weekends)

ESSENTIAL

  • RSA certification

  • Australian working rights

  • Ability to lift wine cartons and stand for extended periods

WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE

  • Being part of a small, close-knit team that values personality over pretension

  • Working in a creative winery that's redefining what Rutherglen wine can be

  • Having real input and ownership in how our Cellar Door operates

  • Beautiful views, great wine, and conversations with interesting people

  • Wine allowance and generous staff discounts

THE DETAILS

  • Full-time (5 days/week) or Part-time (4 days/week) – let’s chat

  • Salary range $70,000 - $85,000 (pro rata if 4 days/week) and negotiable based on confirmed work days

  • Start date: October
