TWO BOTTLE LIMIT PER ORDER
Only 64 dozen made: A skin-contact Viognier, crafted into a textural and rich dry white.
This is the experimental sibling to the Viognier 2019: same vineyard, same season, same winemaker, different winemaking techniques. The apricot, honeysuckle and phenolic characters are amplified in this wine - it's definitely a wine for food and best served not too cold.
Wild-yeast fermented, unfined, unfiltered.
750ml, Alc 13.3%.
Handpicked, handmade. Estate grown and bottled.
Max Allen (Australian Financial Review) writes:
Rare (just 64 dozen bottles made), really good example of wild-fermented, unfiltered viognier fermented on skins: beautifully rich and textural, almost luscious – but dry and deeply satisfying.
Mike Bennie (The Wine Front) writes:
Pretty in terms of texture, just a dance of powdery chew in the juiciness inherent for the variety, and there’s abundance of apricot, candied mixed peel and nougat character in tow. Soft, attractive, easy to get into. The L-Plate orange wine, if you will.
