Scion's fresh and modern take on Durif is elegant yet intense.
A wine of opulence and balance from a warm season. Pretty aromatics and abundant dark plum, ripe red currants, blue fruits and baking spices integrate seamlessly with savoury oak characters. Bright acidity and fine tannin deliver momentum and length.
Handpicked from Linlithgow (our estate vineyard) and wild yeast fermented in open concrete vats. Hand-plunged, basket-pressed into French oak (30% new) and matured just shy of two years.
